Kowboys brand was created by three brothers: Mitchell Rose, Ethan Rose, and Mark Kates. As the company took off, each brother assumed a position in the company based on their years of experience and knowledge. Mitchell Rose assumed the position of director of creative direction & design, Ethan Rose led the business and sales department, and Mark Kates took over all aspects of marketing and hype. The line eventually sky rocketed into fame when stylist Lisa Kline had Ben Affleck and Matt Damon featured in US Weekly wearing Kowboys t-shirtds. Kowboys tees quickly became a favorite of celebrities like Matthew Fox and Dominic Purcell and the line was a hit. Kowboys shirts have also been featured in GQ, In Style, and Maxim.
