 Andrew Rosen, a third generation clothing maker, started the Theory clothing line with the designer Elie Tahari in 1996, when the retailers where developing the category known as contemporary sportswear to satisfy demand for separates and more casual career wear clothes. Theory was a real innovator of seasonless dressing , centering it’s sportswear separates in stretch fabrics that have become a favorite of working women. The line uses lighter-weight fabrics that can be worn all year, changing color to denote the season changes. Theory style is simple and tailored.
