VIEW ALL SHERI BODELL PRODUCTS >>  Sheri Bodell – artist or clothing designer? Bodell considers herself to be both. She believes she is more than just a creator of clothing. “I view my clothes as pieces of art, and myself as an artist, and I have to be on the edge because of my clientele.” The Los Angeles based designer began working in fashion in high school, beginning in retail clothing stores in her hometown of Salt Lake City. Eventually she also gained critical experience as a buyer. In March of 2006, Sheri successfully launched her collection in the fashion capital of Paris. The collection was somewhat Paris inspired but used materials such as suede, natural colors and ethnic style studding. The effect was more Native American than Left Bank. Since Sheri was formed as a buyer she is less prone to flights of fancy in her work and stays true to the objective of creating wearable clothing for real people. She succeeded doing this with her first Paris collection. And if you can make it in Paris, you can make it anywhere! Sheri brings passion and persistence to the world of haute couture. Her designs are handmade and personalized. She loves to work with silks, leather, and fur. Designer Highlights Hooked on Fashion? So is designer Sheri Bodell! Music, art and traveling inspire the Los Angeles based, artist/designer, Sheri Bodell. She considers each piece she creates like a piece of jewelry – “It should be able to stand on its own”. Expect luxe materials in Sheri’s designs. She loves to work with silks, leather, and fur, sometimes beads to catch the eye or intricate embroidery. Although she views her clothes as pieces of art, her objective is also to create wearable pieces for real people. |
