Juicy Couture's creators Pam and Gela set out to design the perfect girly collection called Juicy Couture. Celebs can't get enough of Juicy Couture's comfy designs. Just ask Gwyneth Paltrow, Cameron Diaz, Britney Spears, and Gwen Stefani. Slogans often adorn Juicy Couture apparel, such as, "Wake up and smell the Couture," "Go Couture Yourself," and "Dude, Where's my Couture?" The signature Juicy Crest, as well as the phrases "Love, P&G" (or "Love G&P") are stitched on the inside tag of each item of Juicy apparel. Gela Nash and Pamela Skaist-Levy (also known as Fluffy and Fluffy) initially founded a company called Travis Jeans, which specialized in maternity wear, especially comfortable jeans. This evolved into Juicy Couture, which started out as a relatively unknown brand of expensive t-shirts. It later became a full line of women's designer apparel. The brand was originally popular on the West Coast of the United States, where their fashion lines focused on comfortable women's sweat suits and sportswear. Juicy Couture added collections for men and children in 2002, and bathing suits and accessories for women followed. Shoes and jewelry were added to Juicy's line in 2004. Juicy has since brought in perfume, socks, and diaper bags. They also sell dog accessories such as dog carriers, dog beds, leashes and collars, dog toys, dog tags, and a variety of dog clothing. They even have their own Barbie dolls which are wearing miniature Juicy outfits and carry Juicy logo shopping bags. Nash became Gela Nash-Taylor in March 1999 when she married bassist John Taylor of the band Duran Duran. Taylor and Duran Duran singer Simon Le Bon performed at a party launching the line's East Coast debut in New York City in November 1999. In 2003 Travis Jeans Inc, which owned all of Juicy's assets, was purchased by Liz Claiborne Inc. See More Juicy Couture Products >>
