Joe Dahan is the founder of the wildly popular Joe's Jeans and a veteran in the premium denim industry. Since 1989, he has been among the most demanded designers in the industry-- his design resume includes companies such as Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, and Barney's New York, as well as the celebrity darlings of Hollywood. Which star hasn’t been photographed out and about in Joe’s Jeans? Angelina Jolie, Lindsay Lohan, Eva Longoria, and Katherine Heigle have been spotted weekly wearing different Joe’s denim styles and looking gorgeous! Jessica Alba wore Joe’s Jeans for the Teen Choice awards and wears her favorite Joe’s denim “Muse” style about town regularly.

Joe Dahan got his start designing funky street style, and the buzz surrounding his early works prompted him to explore the profitability of producing a men’s line. In 1989, he presented Joe The Hun at MAGIC, stirred a small commotion, and generated more than $100K in sales the first day, all to the likes of Bloomingdale’s, Macy’s, and Fred Segal.

Reputation on fire, he was soon approached by Barney’s New York to create a sexy lingerie- inspired line of body conscious camis, tanks, and tees that proceeded to blow out of stores instantly. Simply called Joe’s Tees, the tops featured original prints and hand painted details.

Incapable of standing still, “Joe” joined denim giant, Azteca Productions, in 1998 to head their Product Development Division. During his tenure, he developed a variety of innovative denim preparations and finishes via endless experimentation for such hugely successful commercial brands as Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Nautica, and Quicksilver. After three intense years cutting his teeth in the denim trade, “Joe” wanted to introduce his own fresh twist to the designer denim market. In Spring 2001, he scored the third hit of his young career with the launch of Joe’s Jeans.

Dahan draws inspiration from a variety of sources, with a few significant ones being Southern California and his hometown of Casablanca, Morocco. In addition to fusing the lifestyles of these locales to craft a unique and artistic look, he consistently stays ahead of the trends. Each season expect no less from Joe's Jeans than fresh and exciting new looks form fit to perfection.

Designer Highlights


The genius of Joe’s Jeans brand denim lies in the fantastic cut. Joe Dahan has an innate sense of what women are looking for in their jeans: stretch, structure, style, and comfort combine with a design that flatters hard-to-fit body types. Joe’s Jeans are made to tailor fit each of his customer types in accord to their unique silhouettes, personalities, and lifestyles. The “Twiggy” style is for long legged ladies like supermodel Giselle Bundchen, who rocks her Joe’s Credence Twiggy jeans with 36” inseam on MTV.

The Honey Curvy lifts and shapes booties of beauties like JLo and Beyonce - who must own dozens - all the while flattering the less endowed by giving the illusion of a shapely rear. Joe’s Jeans are also cut higher in the back than the front to eliminate the quelle horreur of excessive bottom cleavage.
