Founded by Gale Epstein and Lida Orzeck, Hanky Panky has emerged as one of the fashion industry's innovators in design. From the original handkerchief camisole & G-string of the 70's, to the padded shoulder undershirt of the 80's, to the lacy tops & sexy thongs of the 90's, Hanky Panky continues its dedication to comfort, fit, & quality. Hanky Panky is committed to designing and manufacturing in the New York area. It sells internationally to a wide range of lingerie & sportswear boutiques & specialty stores. Hanky Panky Lingerie Co-FoundersGale Epstein grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. She co-founded Hanky Panky and is President and Creative Director. Gale has created unique clothing & accessories since the age of twelve. A love of natural fabrics and delicate handwork inspired her earliest innovative designs of handkerchief lingerie. She is an accomplished equestrian and a committed environmentalist & animal rights advocate. Lida Orzeck was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. She co-founded Hanky Panky and is Chief Executive Officer. After graduating from Barnard College, Lida earned a doctorate in Social Psychology at Columbia University. In 1977, her friend Gale gave her a bra & panty set created from hand-embroidered Chinese handkerchiefs. Lida fell in love with them and the seeds of Hanky Panky were planted. Designer Highlights Since the company’s inceptions, Tylie Malibu has worked hard to maintain family-style atmosphere throughout the production process. Each item is carefully hand-made by Tylie's ever growing in-house staff at their Santa Monica, California warehouse. |
