After living and working in Florence, Italy for nearly 20 years, Bernardo designers Dennis and Lynne Comeau relocated to Santa Fe, New Mexico in 2006. They along with lead technician Alessandro Giordano, maintain both the design studio and technical office while working with their staffs to produce sensational footwear and handbags. They have taken the Bernardo brand and artfully reconstructed the footprint and expertly infused it with freshness and soul. Bernardo has enjoyed cult status among the rich and famous. Jackie O collected Miami sandals in all 16 colors. Other stars sporting Bernardos include Halle Berry, Beyonce Knowles, Reese Witherspoon, Courtney Cox, Jennifer Garner, Hilary Duff, Goldie Hawn, Faith Hill and the list goes on.
Designer Highlights Bernard Rudofsky is the founder of Bernardo. He was an architect, whose buildings still attract attention in Europe and Brazil , a photographer and a painter. His designs have appeared in leading fashion magazines from 1946 to 2008. |
